E, Peng, also known as "Roc" in international community, is a seasoned consultant, practitioner and scholar on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, with over 10 years of work experience in pursuit of innovation excellence.
Roc is the Chief Representative, Greater China of rInnovation Group. Roc also teaches graduate students at Sun Yat-sen University on entrepreneurship and Enterprise Innovation Management. Before his current position, he worked for Accenture in the U.S. and China, GE Corporate U.S., Oracle China and Beijing Beida Jade Bird on various roles related to innovation team and project management. Roc has provided professional innovation management and technology training and consulting services to Fortunate 500 companies and large NGOs as well as small firms across multiple industries on strategic planning, system integration and innovation management projects. The clients he has serviced are, among others, China Mobile, Best Buy U.S., China Construction Bank, Bureau of Shanghai Worldexpo Coordination, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group, Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce. He is a senior member of the China Creative Studies Institute, Birds of a Feather Innovation Leaders Group and Toastmasters International, among many other professional organizations.
Roc earned his M.B.A. in radical innovation and corporate entrepreneurship from the Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and a B.E. in fluid mechanics from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. He has co-authored two books, numerous papers and delivered presentations at seven premiere conferences internationally on topics covering business, IT, innovation, creativity and corporate entrepreneurship. Roc has travelled to nine countries and currently he is based in Shanghai, China.
Joanne Hyland

Joanne is a co-founder and the President of the rInnovation Group and former Vice President, New Venture Development, at Nortel Networks. She is an accomplished innovation strategist, architect, orchestrator, implementation expert and author. Joanne is an Advisory Board member of ISPIM (International Society for Professional Innovation Management) and is experienced in corporate and startup board roles.
As a founding partner in rInnovation, Joanne is working with major corporations to link innovation with strategy and to develop systems, leadership, and culture capabilities that drive growth and corporate renewal. The rInnovation Group works across diverse industries from consumer and industrial products to energy and pharmaceuticals. It has also developed a unique innovation tools platform to guide individuals and companies through its Discovery, Incubation, and Acceleration (D-I-A) and uncertainty management methodology. The company’s clients are Fortune 1000 and other established companies, headquartered in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Germany, and Belgium. Joanne speaks regularly on topics related to innovation and corporate entrepreneurship and is or has been a member of the faculty in executive education programs at Babson College, the Danish Business Institute, the Danish Technical University (DTU), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), the Industrial Research Institute, and the Tata Management Training Center in India.
At Nortel Networks, Joanne and her team founded its internal venturing program, a multimillion-dollar investment fund that resulted in 12 business startups, one of which, Bill Me Later, reached close to a billion-dollar exit in October 2008, when it was bought by eBay/PayPal. The Corporate Strategy Board, RPI, Fast Company magazine, and others have highlighted this leading-edge innovation program in reports, academic research, case studies, and numerous articles.
Joanne is the Co-author of Pivot: How Top Entrepreneurs Adapt and Change Course to Find Ultimate Success (Wiley, October 2013) and Author of What’s Next – Strategic Innovation (TMTC Journal of Management, July 2012). She is a featured executive in Radical Innovation: How Mature Companies Can Outsmart Upstarts (HBS Press, December 2000) and an expert resource for Grabbing Lightning: Building a Capability for Breakthrough Innovation (Jossey Bass, 2008), Strategy + Business Magazine Innovation Award and Beyond the Champion(forthcoming Stanford University Press December 2017). She is also authored “Using VC Experience to Create Business Value” in From the Trenches—Strategies from Industry Leaders on the New e-Conomy (Wiley 2001) and co-authored “Bringing Radical and Other Major Innovations Successfully to Market - Bridging the Transition from R&D to Operations” (PDMA ToolBook 2004).
Joanne graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, in 1982, with a bachelor of commerce (marketing major), and received the Marketing Medal for her academic accomplishments.
